I have been meaning to write you for months to tell you how much we are enjoying 'Daisy' - whom we renamed 'Sadie' - and to send you some photos.
Sadie is approaching her first birthday next month, and is still not as big as our border collie. She is nice and stocky, especially since we don't have her clipped as closely in the winter. EVERYONE in the neighborhood thinks she is a Portuguese Water Dog, because she is quite stocky, and because of the white blaze on her chest.
Anyway, she is absolutely the sweetest-natured dog we have ever owned, or met, and the most playful and loving by far. She especially loves to go to the dog park near us and play with other dogs. She gets along with any and all dogs, and does not have a mean bone in her whole body - she is just the friendliest and nicest young lady in the city, and in the whole world, as far as we're concerned! She has adjusted very well to apartment life, especially since from the beginning we decided that it was OK for her to sit and lie on the furniture (and sleep with us on the bed.) She has a favorite perch, on the back of an easy chair, from which she can look out the window and watch the world go by. I'm afraid we've been doing more of that than we should with this cold weather the past couple of weeks! She has a lot of toys, though, and we play with her inside, and take her for frequent walks. She is seldom alone for more than a couple of hours, and even gets along with our cranky old border collie, although he doesn't want to play with her. I am getting her microchipped this week, just to be on the safe side, as our grown-up son and his girlfriend sometimes take her for walks in the woods near the Wissahickon River, and let her off the leash. They assure me that they keep her in close sight, and she doesn't stray far from them, but I worry!

I am going to try to attach some photos to this e-mail. They are mostly from the spring and summer - we took her to Miami with us in May, and to Ocean City in August, and she loves, loves, loves the beach! Not as much as she loves snow, however, which seems to be her very favorite thing in the world, besides chewing up her toys and anything else she can get her mouth on.
Many, many thanks for our WONDERFUL little girl!
Best, Diana 1/24/11
I am sending you a current pic of Moxie. She is 16 pounds now and is a very active puppy. She has brought so much joy and excitement to our home.

Reggie is doing great so far! He loves being where we are and is great about going to the bathroom outside! We love him so much. He only whined for a few minutes last night and slept great in his crate with no potty accidents.
